I was born and raised here in Yuma. I am married and have 4 children and 7 grandchildren. I have been in long term healthcare for 19 years, I have worked at Palm View since 1998. I have my certifications for dietary CDM and CFPP. My hobbies are reading, bicycling and bowling.
I have been a registered nurse for 21 years. My nursing background is primarily med-surg, with the chronically ill patients with complications from diabetes, hypertension, renal disease, and cancer. This is probably why I choose to work at Palmview.
I am certified in Chemotherapy, Peritoneal dialysis and am in the process of recertifying my MDS credentials. I have raised 3 children; all grown and gone now, and am active in the community. I serve on the board for a nonprofit agency named, Office of Regional Center for Border Health, which the purpose of this agency is to bring more healthcare professionals into our underserved area. One way this is done is by hiring and contracting healthcare providers to work in the clinics established by the agency. As a board member; my function is to oversee the ongoing programs and financial status of this agency.
